You may think the answer is to share your own private key, so a colleague can access your Virtual Machine. Absolutely not!!! Do not do this. This will leave any services or machines reliant on your private key, (including your instance) vulnerable!

This tutorial will show you how to safely and securely share access to an existing Virtual Machine/Instance.
